Summer is over…

Looking back to a Magnifique wedding.

Everything began with a birth.

Then everyone got dressed up, not to forget Filou & his bowtie.

And off we go! Rush, rush! To the city hall, to the church & it was already time to drink to the newly-weds :)

I took few minutes to make portraits & to strike the pose with my cousins.

Today on a GPOY-ish & unimportant matter; last photos before I have my hair cut.

I am going to spend few days with my cousin, who happens to be a hairdresser & also the only one that I let cut my hair. I cut it myself most of the time.

So Monday is a big day for both of us. For me, because I choose a short haircut (despite everyone telling me to keep it long), & it’s been 15 years since I’ve had my hair this short. For her, because she has been asking to cut it this short ages ago, “to try something” & also because she wants to do a Tie & Dye on my hair (what a strange name for a hair style…). I’ve agreed to the last one on the condition that the Tie & Dye-thing has the same red hair colour as the Weasley family. Helas it won’t be as natural… Maybe like Merida would be nice too?

Let’s make a Scrabble! Today my mother (who’s an auxiliary nurse) asked if I could make an assortment of little letters for a Lady who has had a cerebrovascular stroke & can’t speak or write anymore. Even though her body is not working properly now, her brain works just fine. It’s horrible to think that she is trapped inside her own body… Her work is hard & tiring, so I’m always amazed about how my mother finds all these wonderful ideas to make the lifes of the patients more comfortable & entertaining. I hope Mrs M will find this useful.

1. If you can do anything in the world, what would you do?

Visit the world by flying :)

If I had to give a more altruist answer, I would try to make it a better place to live for everyone.

2. What are the 3 things in the world that make you happy?

To eat (& cooking in general), create things (drawing, sewing, photography…) & music (music never fails to make me happy, I need it daily).

3. What do you believe in?

Nature. The law of Nature, we, human beings are so tiny in the end. otherwise I’m an agnostic. I also have a strong interest in Buddhist philosophy.

4. Do you stand up for what you believe in?

Yes, I try to, as much as i can.

5. If you could have any man/woman in the world who would it be and why?

I have no idea… Oh dear, it’s a bit sad to realize that I’m not craving for any anyone in the world at the moment… Ok, next question!

6. What is the one thing you haven’t done but really want to do, what’s holding you back?

I want to be a costume designer.

There, I said it… Nothing is holding me back, I’ll get shit done as soon as I’m back in France!

When I was a kid I wanted to be a stylist, but my parents were not able to pay for the studies. So I put my dream on the side & became something else.

Then I watched the Lord Of The Rings & the bonus DVD with the costume designer Ngila Dickson, it was a big slap in the face. I thought, oh my, that would be so interesting to do this kind of job. It was 2001, I was 17, I thought “there’s no way you’ll be able to do this. You are not good enough. Those jobs are out of reach”. Again I put my dream on the side…

Recently I realized that I never tried & the dream was still there, stronger than ever. So why? Why I would not try? Yeah why? No reason, so here I am :)

7. Would you be willing to take off 10 years off your lifespan to become extremely rich or famous?

No.

8. What would you change about the world, if you could?

I wish there would be less ignorance, then the world could change itself in a healthy way, I hope.

9. What is the worst/best highschool memory, why?

Worst: 8 hours of class with a massive hangover…

Best: In my last year I went to Finland. I was in a catering school, so we cooked a lot & ate delicious Finnish cuisine <3

10. If you had the chance to go back in time for 24 hours, where and when would you go and would you change anything? (fix points in time included :P )

I would go back in the morning of the 12 of July 2009, bretagne & I will spend the day with my Godfather & his wife (this day I talked to them on the phone & wanted to stop by their house to say hello, but I also had to drive for many hours to go back home, so I went home). He died 5 days later from a heart attack…

I wouldn’t change anything, even though I miss him so much, he was like a second father to me. But, again, this is Nature.

11.  If you could have any superpower what would you be and why?

I would like to be able to communicate with all the living beings. The animals, the trees… Because they probably have a lot of things to teach us.

And I bet they witness so many interesting stories.

1. My favorite colour is green.

2. I speak French, English (not fluent), Spanish (a long time ago), Japanese (basic like : where /is the restaurant/ are the toilets/ is the hotel. My name is… etc.)

3. I’m addicted to green tea, especially Jasmine Tea & Gunpowder.

4. I couldn’t live without music.

5. I have a diploma in catering (2001). Which means I studied cooking for 3 years. Along with waitressing & receptionist stuffs.

6. In my daily job as a photographer I had to use digital cameras but I’m not really fond of them. I prefer old cameras, using black & white films & then to develope them myself.

7. I make my own clothes. (as much as I can).

8. I don’t believe in any gods but have a strong interest in Buddhist philosophy.

9. I like tinkering. Most of all, I like taking used objects, furnitures & turning them into something new or fitting my house. One day (if I can afford it) I’d like to buy an old house & renovate it.

10. I love to eat, so I’m trying to cook everyday. I have a weakness for beef, dark chocolate & red wine.
